Although Nancy Brame was born in Oklahoma City, she spent most of her childhood in Louisiana. Influenced by her older brother who was interested in drama, she began acting in Community Theater during junior high school.  She continued to enjoy theater through college, where she earned a B.S degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy from LSU.  Marriage, family and work took up most of her time for the next several years. After several moves around the Southeast, including a sabbatical to earn an M.A. in Speech Pathology from The University of Tennessee, she and her family made their home in
Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Nancy had decided to make a return to Community Theater when a wonderful opportunity came her way; Chattanooga State began a program in Professional Theater.  Through evening classes, she was able to learn from the talented acting teacher, Sherry Landrum. During this time Nancy made her return to the stage with several roles in Chattanooga at The Oak Street Playhouse and Chattanooga Theatre Centre.

To develop on-camera skills, Nancy studied commercial acting, voice-over and teleprompter training. As she began to pursue commercial work, she studied with Alan Dysert of The Actors School in Nashville.  Through his studio, she had the opportunity to take workshops with Los Angles producers and directors, such as David Keith and Brad Wilson (Hemisphere Entertainment) and casting directors such as Melissa Skoff (Jag) and Holly Powell (CBS).  In Orlando, she had to good fortune to study with television and film actor Ken Grant.

Lucky enough to get to spend a good deal of time in Central Florida, Nancy has been in several student films at Full Sail University and several independent film projects. While in Tennessee, she continues to support and act in student and independent films.

Nancy’s time away from acting is spent with family and friends.  When time permits, she enjoys reading, cooking, knitting and Pilates.

Currently, Nancy continues to hone her acting skills in classes and workshops.  She stays involved in local projects and travels to any location, mostly Atlanta and Orlando, to work.
